How every batch gets verified.

HPLC — Purity

HPLC is the gold standard for quantitative purity analysis of synthetic peptides. Each sample is dissolved in a mobile-phase solvent and passed through a packed chromatographic column under high pressure, separating the target compound from synthesis-related impurities.

A UV detector at 220nm measures the absorbance of each eluting fraction. The ratio of the primary peak to total detected peaks determines percentage purity. AminoVita Research compounds must achieve a minimum of 99% before release.

Mass Spectrometry — Identity

Mass Spectrometry confirms the molecular identity of each peptide by measuring its exact molecular weight. The sample is ionized and accelerated through an electromagnetic field, and the mass-to-charge ratio is compared against the theoretical molecular weight of the target sequence.

This catches truncated sequences, oxidized variants, and structural anomalies that HPLC alone cannot identify — the two analyses together provide dual verification at the molecular level.
